Youth for Earth (Y4E) is the International Conference on Sustainability Education’s flagship youth campaign, now in its 7th edition, empowering young leaders to design and deliver action-oriented, innovative projects that tackle urgent environmental and social challenges. Anchored by the theme “Educate. Innovate. Transform: Youth Leading Sustainability Solutions”, Y4E brings together changemakers from across India and South Asia to learn, collaborate, and build resilient, equitable futures.

Led jointly by the Mobius Foundation and The Climate Project Foundation, Youth for Earth 2026 builds on the campaign’s strong legacy of translating sustainability education into measurable impact. Over the years, Y4E has witnessed participation from hundreds of youth-led initiatives, reinforcing the role of education as a catalyst for climate action, innovation, and community leadership.

Aligned with the 8th ICSE 2026 theme, “Sustainability Education for Transformative Action”, Y4E 2026 shifts the focus from awareness to implementation. The campaign recognises that while young people are increasingly informed about sustainability challenges, there is an urgent need to enable them to design, implement, and scale solutions on the ground. Y4E 2026 responds to this need by encouraging projects that demonstrate tangible outcomes, systems thinking, and long-term community impact.

At a time when global and national sustainability goals demand accelerated action, Youth for Earth 2026 positions youth not as future stakeholders, but as present-day solution builders. By combining mentorship, peer learning, national recognition, and alignment with global sustainability priorities, the campaign empowers young leaders to move from learning to leadership, and from ideas to action.

Through Youth for Earth 2026, sustainability education becomes a living practice—one that equips young people with the skills, confidence, and platforms needed to lead meaningful change today, and shape a more sustainable tomorrow.
